Greetings Visionaires -

Due to exhaustive plumbing work Bro C was prevented from participating in
this week's "Auntie Establishment and Brother Carl Show". In spite of Bro
C's absence Auntie presented thought-provoking, and sometimes humorous,
commentary concerning the Ten Commandments of the Internet and the political
attributes of the infamous battle of The Alamo, along with a far ranging
variety of topics both local and national. One highlight of this week's
show was a call-in by Rose Huskey to discuss the questionable promotion of a
neighborhood restaurant by a local realtor, to promote Dan Carscallen as a
conservative columnist for the Moscow-Pullman Daily News, and to promote the
upcoming Master Baker Cook-Off. Auntie also presented an analogy concerning
two of Wal-Mart's support groups, Dale "Comb-Over" Courtney's BLog and the
GBLT community.

Auntie extended an invitation for Republican gubernatorial candidate "Butch"
Otter to discuss his candidacy platform on the "Auntie Establishment and
Brother Carl Show" (AEBC) as an equal-time response to:

The Jerry Brady Interview conducted on AEBC on August 6, 2006

And, as usual, thank you, Auntie, for your continued expressed support of
our troops and our veterans.

Footnote to Dan Carscallen and the Moscow-Pullman Daily News: How about it?
A daily editorial in the Daily News with a "By Dan Carscallen" byline
somehow appeals to me. Dan Carscallen, in spite (or because) of his
right-leaning tendencies, is willing to answer the proverbial telephone
regardless from where the call originates. Perhaps such a column would open
communication lines to responsible, mature debate in the community.

This week's song dedication goes out to those among us who are attempting to
legislate morality by supporting Idaho's House Joint Resolution 2;
"Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Idaho to provide
that a marriage between a man and a woman is the only domestic legal union
that shall be valid or recognized in this state."

Question: What is it about same-sex unions (and the legal equality related
to such unions) that you feel threatens your lifestyle?

To deprive two individuals the rights associated with "domestic legal union"
based solely on their sexual preference lacks the essence of human
integrity. And although those who support such deprivation refuse the label
"homophobia", perhaps it is more a reflection of . . .

"Queer Fear"
