[Vision2020] The death penalty....a deterent!!!!!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the avowedly pro-life were in favor of things
that sustain and nurture human life AFTER birth?

A "seamless garment" of pro-life concern includes opposition to abortion
(not necessarily support for law, but support for a culture shift), as well
as a reverence for the lives of poor children, disabled children, school
children, children of undocumented workers, incarcerated people, sick
people, poor people, elderly people, and all people until the time of
natural death. Trouble is, I hardly ever see an emphasis from "pro-life"
people on anything other than fetal life . . .

Joe, instances in which an abortion is the only alternative to losing the
mother are EXTREMELY rare. I think you know that this is a red herring.

As far as killing a child to preclude potential future suffering.... that is
not a justification I would ever want to be in a position of supporting.
What of a physically healthy child born into extreme poverty or an abusive
home? Should we snuff them out as well? Joe, you are engaging in
intellectual twister in an effort to rationalize what your heart must be
telling you is horribly wrong. You have been conned by our culture of
death.

It is not too late for you to assert your instincts, dispense with the
straitjacket of liberal orthodoxy and STAND UP FOR LIFE!

Best, -T
