1.      Approval of Minutes October 9, 2006 - Stephanie Kalasz

 

2.      Resolution for Retention of Public Records - Stephanie Kalasz/Randy Fife

Idaho Code § 50-967 requires that, prior to January 1, 2007, each City Council adopt by Resolution, a record retention schedule.  The proposed Resolution categorizes Moscow records pursuant to Idaho Code § 50-907 and includes a definition of what is not a "record" for retention purposes.  The proposed Resolution allows for the destruction of the listed items pursuant to current Idaho Code.  The Resolution allows various departments to dispose of records to preserve space and to control their day-to-day operations in an efficient manner with the assistance of the City Clerk and City Attorney.  This was first reviewed by the Administrative Committee on October 9, 2006 and suggested changes have been made in the enclosed draft.

 

            ACTION:  Recommend approval of the Resolution or direct staff as deemed appropriate.
