But, Doug -- I thought it was the words of criticism and condemnation 
directed toward your pastor and elders that so offend you.  I'm confused.  
If we criticize Wilson, et al, because they do and say things that most 
people would find troublesome, those words are wrong.  But if people use 
bigoted speech -- racial epithets like "raghead" -- then that's OK?

Huh.

You know as well as I do that the Lord doesn't consider "sticks and stones 
may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" a valid standard when He 
judges our words.  What we say matters.  I stand behind my criticisms of 
your pastor and elders, and I stand behind my criticism of people who use 
racist terminology to describe our enemies.  I'll be judged on my words some 
day, and so will you.  I think that clinging to a playground rhyme probably 
won't cut it.

What ever happened to: "Sticks and Stones can break my bones, but Words
