[Vision2020] The Fetus as a Person

Greetings:

There are a few pieces of legislation across the country that have defined the
fetus as a person, usually in connection with domestic violence and indirectly
causing the death of fetus. Some conservative legislators have promised that
these laws somehow don't affect abortion laws. In any case, this does not
constitute a legal consensus, nor does it mean a change in the traditional
moral, legal, and religious view that the early fetus is not a person.

What is the argument in Section 32, Chap. 1 concerning Domestic Violence (I
assume its Idaho Code)? On what basis is the fetus a person. Why has this not be brought to the attention of the U. S. Supreme Court? The justices would have acted very quickly if there was indeed such a dramatic change in the law and tradition and it could be applied to Roe v. Wade, which was not decided, unfortuantely, on the basis of personhood.

If the fetus is a person from conception on, then all higher mammalian fetuses
are persons, too. As a vegetarian, I can live with that, but what about all the
carnivores out there? Veggie Whoppers, anyone? They are really delicious.

On another matter, I swear I saw the term "conservative libertarian" used by a
certain Kirker on this list. Until I find that post, I'll change the first
sentence of the post in question to "Since Dale Courtney defines himself as a
"Christian libertarian" (a contradiction in terms), and since heirdoug defers to
him in so many matters, they can be excused for confusing liberalism with
socialism," which Courtney does all the time.

Now, I've made my correction, how about all the corrections the Kirk and its
minions need to make? I'm not holding my breath!

Oh yes, while I'm clearing the deck, a Visionary who once called me a Nazi is
now all bent out of shape about me speaking the truth that he has no clue about
the difference between expediency and morality. Where is my kleenex?!
