RE: Suspect in Molestation and Battery Cases Fails Appear in Court

 

Vincent Patrick Aschinger, a 35 year-old Moscow man, failed to appear in
court today in response to Aggravated Battery by Strangulation charges from
Moscow Police Department.  A warrant for his arrest has been issued with a
$100,000 bond.  Aschinger is also accused of molesting a 12 year-old in Post
Falls, Idaho.

 

Aschinger was scheduled to appear in Magistrate Court at 11:00 this morning
for a preliminary hearing on a trilogy of charges stemming from a Moscow
Police Department case on 10/28/2006.  Aschinger faces Aggravated Battery by
Strangulation, Aggravated Assault, and Domestic Violence in the presence of
a child charges.  Aschinger had been released on 11/2/2006, after posting a
$10,000 bond.  While released, Aschinger traveled to Post Falls and visited
family.  While in Post Falls, Aschinger was accused of molesting a 12
year-old on 11/15/2006 (charges pending out of Post Falls).

 

Aschinger was born in Centralia, Washington, and has family in Post Falls,
Idaho.  He is rumored to spend time in both Farmington and Palouse,
Washington.  He is 35 years old, 6'00", 250 lbs, has blue eyes and is either
bald or has blond hair.  If you have any information regarding Aschinger's
