Jennifer,
Is there some way of getting more ISP patrols on state highways in Latah County?
Is there a way citizen concern can be translated into action?

The October 31 Hot Sheet has been published as has our latest Public Service Announcement regarding Winter Driving. You may view both at the Sheriff's Office website http://www.latah.id.us/Dept/Sheriff_Main.htm If you have any questions about either, please feel free to contact me. A personal aside about winter driving: This morning, while driving into Moscow from Genesee, I was passed by two vehicles traveling at high rates of speed (I'd estimate 73-75 mph--not being in a patrol vehicle, I was unable to take enforcement action). Please remember that stretch of 95 is 60 mph and is also under construction (thus penalties increase for traffic violations). Highway 95 sees more crashes every year than any other road in Latah County and accounts for nearly all of our fatal crashes. Drive safely.
