[Vision2020] Youth Ministry?

Austin,

I’m not sure the comic clearly indicates that Wilson arrogantly dismisses
youth ministry. However, if it has already been well established that
Wilson has arrogantly dismissed this form of ministry – and in fact despised
the idea of CC becoming a home to those uncultured orphans and
pseudo-orphans – I think I can understand why Keely takes the comic the way
she does.

I'm sure, Austin, you're as charming and wonderful as my own sons, and that
your question is sincere.

So, regarding his "youth minister/shapely chicks" cartoon: I think it shows
a sense of arrogance, insofar as he seems to dismiss the legitimate calling
and sincerity of youth ministers, if not the value of youth ministry itself.

It shows juvenile humor, in that it "goes to booty" as a way of making a
point that is of dubious worth. Overall it seems, for those reasons, to
indicate a lack of judgment on Doug Wilson's part that I think he also has
demonstrated in the past and will undoubtedly demonstrate in the future.

Ask yourself what I've asked other Logos/NSA/Kirk young men: If the Lord
God gave you a pastorate, is that what YOU would do???

(Not surprisingly, I rarely hear back from them after that . . . )

I don't want to push the point (something I've *never* been guilty of doing

- ask my parents =) ), but how does it do those things?

Thanks,

-Austin
