This Saturday, May 20 from 2-5 pm, Moscow's first Affordable Housing Resource Forum will be held at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center ("the HIRC" just beyond the swimming pool) at 1724 East F St., with access from Mountainview.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Moscow Fair and Affordable Housing Commission the Moscow Human Rights Commission. The forum seeks to begin discussion and data accumulation of opinions on what constitutes affordable housing, what impediments exist to increasing the amount of affordable housing, where and how affordable housing might be constructed or encouraged, etc.

The link below includes somewhat more information on the Affordable Housing Forum and a copy of the survey that will be collected. If you cannot attend, please complete a survey on line. The City will be collecting surveys at the forum; surveys are also available at the City's web site: http://www.ci.moscow.id.us/commissions/fairhousing/HousingForum.asp

The two commissions will create and submit to the City a report of recommendations based on forum discussion points, panelists' input & the surveys themselves.
