Dan,

In a state where 60% of the land is owned by the government, this seems like bad advice.

Furthermore, I'm sure you care what the folks next door to you do with their land, right? The rezone issue is a natural extension of this sentiment.

The net result is that we are a town and should think like a town when it comes to key zoning decisions. Not in every case but in cases that matter in the long run. This is a case that matters in the long run.

Another suggestion:  The best "zoning" is "owning".  You want to keep it
"green", buy the sucker.
