Michael, As I have said repeatedly, I am not a Doug Wilson defender. I don't think DW needs or wants my defense. I would be making the same arguments if the Scataboe block were occupied by the Church of Scientology. In fact, I suspect that if your pastor read any of my postings (which I can't imagine he does) he would disagree with me nearly as often as you do. When I referred to the anti-CC gang, I did not actually think of you as an official member. You seem to be in a category all your own which I have yet to figure out. Your or anyone else's religious parameters have absolutely nothing to do with my expressed opinions. Thank you for the reading recommendation though, I will look into it as time permits. My day is purty full what with spitten hay seeds, chewin tabacky & sluggin down the corn licker. (tequila makes my tooth hurt)

  Gary, I am a member of Christ Church and my pastor is Doug Wilson.  I just had a meeting recently where I sat by Mike Lawyer, assistant to Doug Wilson, and enjoyed his company greatly.  If you check my religious parameters, you will find that I and most posters here are as close as Venus and Mars (check out Often and Bell at the U of I Library regarding the women in F-16s issue; Stanford & Pooh Publishers).  And yet, the post you are critiquing is one that I found very helpful and delightful.  In sum, I think you have, as the philosophers sometimes say, got your categories a little bit confused.  Just trying to help.
