Symphony to Honor Military Veterans and Their Families
The Washington Idaho Symphony is proud to honor military veterans and their
families for their service and sacrifices on behalf of our nation. In
appreciation to the service men and women who have recently served in
Afghanistan and Iraq, and in honor of all military members who have served
in the armed forces, all veterans and their immediate family members will be
welcomed as FREE guests for the concerts.
Chet Herbst, Principal Trombone player in the Symphony, is contacting the
area veteran affairs offices, etc.; he can be reached at 883-3529 (or call
the Symphony Office at 509-332-3408). If veterans have questions, do not
hesitate to call, and please -- do plan to join us for the last concert of
our 34th year.
Spring has sprung officially by the calendar, the weather seems to be trying
to accommodate, and The Washington Idaho Symphony is doing something about
it. The orchestra will usher the season in with two composers musical
equivalents the performance of Robert Schumanns Symphony #1 in B-flat
Major ("Spring") and Aaron Coplands Appalachian Spring. Additionally, Igor
Stravinskys Suite #2 for Chamber Orchestra is part of this beautiful
program.
Performances are on Saturday, April 1 (8:00 at Gladish Auditorium, Pullman)
or Sunday, April 2 (3:00 at Clarkston High School). All tickets are $15.00
general admission, one child is admitted free with each paying adult, and
student tickets are $6.00 with ID. Tickets may be purchased in advance by
calling the Symphony Office at (509) 332-3408.
