[Vision2020] Council Far From Anti-Growth

Mr. Hansen, If you were not referring to Alturas with the phrase "the 
technology park currently located adjacent to the old Tidyman's" what 
exactly were you talking about? Also how is a huge tech park that fills up 
with businesses that had been located elsewhere in town as much as anything 
else helpful to your argument? If a business moves from a cramped or 
otherwise restrictive location  to your miracle techno park to have a bit of 
elbow room, how is this different from Wal-Mart moving to a new location for 
the same reason? At least the development costs for the new WM site are on 
them instead of the taxpayer. Don't get me wrong however, I would love to 
see a large, thriving tech park, packed full of new company's paying top 
notch wages to local people. I just don't see how this is incompatible with 
having expanded retail development as well.
