  A Music Guild for Moscow?

  Area musicians are invited to a meeting on March 22 to discuss forming a musician's guild.  The meeting, hosted by the Moscow Arts Commission, will be at 6:30 p.m. at the 1912 Building, 412 East Third Street.

  Would Moscow-area musicians benefit from a guild?  That is the question Dennis Holmes, a recent arrival to the community has asked local musicians at two informal meetings held so far this year.  Holmes, who was involved with a guild in Portland, feels it is an excellent way to build a sense of community among musicians and to provide practical assistance in areas such as marketing, booking concerts and recording albums.  An informal jam session will follow the meeting so participants are encouraged to bring their instruments.
