[Vision2020] Wilson's Response to Announcement on Sitler

I don't know the name of the family or families whose children suffered
abuse by Sitler. I don't want to know and if I knew I wouldn't tell. That
hurts children. And hurting children is never OK.

It seems to me that in asking questions of Doug Wilson and in hoping that he
would answer them, perhaps vindicating himself, I've acknowledged that I
don't know everything. Although the things I've heard concern me, it
doesn't hurt me -- doesn't cause me harm -- to not know everything, and it
doesn't cause Wilson or the family harm to have the questions asked.

I don't accept everything I read, Deacon -- which is why I publicly asked
Wilson to answer questions publicly, clearly, and definitively. He would
seem to be the appropriate person to ask if there are questions about how he
handled any given situation. The urgency here is that if -- IF -- children
were allowed to remain at risk, the damage to the children is even greater
than the damage to the Christian testimony of Christ Church. And if not,
well -- Wilson deserves my thanks for having done the right thing. Either
outcome matters greatly to me.

So just let us know. That's all I ask.

Keely,

It makes me sick as well. It has made me sick ever since I was informed of
it.

But this discussion and the way it has been going on and on makes me sick as
well. Has anyone on this list actually talked to anyone who knows the facts?
Jackie's going on like she's known all about it and knew everyone involved
since the beginning. Do you really think that Christ Church, NSA, et al.
really knew what was going on and chose to do nothing about it? Is that
really what you think? Are you crazy?

I am not trying to hide any pertinent facts from anyone, but please stop
this. Go back and re-read all the past posts on this situation. I hope it
makes your stomach churn. Who thinks these comments have been profitable?
Who are you helping?

Feel free to continue on in the Vision 2020 way. Get excited about Joan's
book tour. Listen to Tom's little music clips. Argue water issues. Bash
Pastor Wilson. That's fine, but if you are going to get hyped up about this
issue, at least show the decency to get some facts from people with
first-hand knowledge. Nobody needs to be circulating a bunch of lies and
half truths in this situation. It's just sick.

Sincerely,

Deacon

Michael, I just finished reading your site, and I am again struck by the
courage and grace you demonstrate in your discussing and dealing with Doug
Wilson.

This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach. Most things I've seen
surrounding the Kirk over the last four years have. But as is usually the
case in war, there are heroes. You and the ex-Kirkers are well-described by
the word.

You have my prayers, my admiration, and my profound gratitude.
