I personally like Mark Warner, the immediate former governor of
Virginia. Why? He has a proven record of: improving education for all, not
just the college bound, helping the economy, lowering unemployment rates,
knowing what is like to fail (and simply licked his wounds --learned and
became successful), creating a vision that more than balanced
Virginia's budget. (He started with a $6 billion dollar deficit and turned
it into a $544 million dollar surplus, while investing in education at
Virginia's highest funding level). He was able to cross the aisle and work
hand and hand with Virginia's Republicans. Warner is pro business, pro
education, pro infra structure, pro environment, and very forward thinking.
I hope the Democrats recognize his potential. jerry
