[Vision2020] A "Peace" of Grass---featuring a GI in Iraq

J,

Good to hear from you, I was hoping you would get into this sooner or later
because you bring a respectable view with you.

First, I am not attacking Tom. I merely asked him a civil question and he
is so paranoid that his manhood, or something, is being challenged he took
it offensively. If you go back to my original post you will find that I
only asked if he would care to share the story of his injury with us, since
he posted the picture without any explaination what-so-ever.

Secondly, I admit I have very little respect for Tom. I see him as a
pompous boor most of the time. He is constantly disrespectful toward others
(note the misuse and mispelling of my name in his posts which I politely
asked him not to do). He is a dog-piler, always pitching his two cents
worth of vile into every argument, whether it concerns him or not. While he
is disrespectful toward others, he expects them to hold him in high regard
and uses his military service as a reason they should, even though he
demonstrates little respect for those still serving.

I respect the fact Tom served in our military but that does not give him
license to go through life taking pot shots at others and being
disrespectful toward them. In my opinion, he is dishonest about his
service, (why else would he get so uptight about being asked to share his
story?), he has a very juvenile attitude and he is a big cry baby.

I tried to show interest in him by asking him to share the story of his
injury, politely. He took offense and went off the deep end, I suspect
because he thought I was trying to trap him into revealing it had nothing to
do with combat, which it appeared he was attempting to portray. I could
care less whether it did or didn't. I was only curious. A simple, "I don't
care to discuss it." would have sufficed. There was no need for venom from
him, accompanied by more misuse of my name.

So, you see, I have little use for Mr. Hansen and would just as soon never
address him at all, except that he constantly injects his rhetoric into my
posts, mostly in the form of some insult or implication that I am stupid, or
he is superior in some way. He needs to grow up.

I hope I have answered your query sufficiently. I do not understand Tom's
position of acting like a vile little brat toward others. In my opinion, he
needs to be taken to the woodshed.

Peace between Tom and I may be out of reach at this point. I suspect he
will offer an apology sooner or later, to preserve his questionable
reputation, and then continue right on in his immature manner. Perhaps he
is incapable of acting any other way, who knows?

Wishing you peace and tranquility...

Dick S.
