[Vision2020] The Keely Emerine Mix / Doug Wilson discussion

Ellen Roskovich stated:

"Can't forget the new tradition. . . a sports update! Barbaro underwent
surgery and his condition is serious."

I have faith in veterinary medicine, Ellen. I am certain that Barbaro is
getting the best care available.

And just think, Ellen. Once Barbaro is all healed and back in the pasture,
his life is going to consist of virtually nothing more than sex, babes, and
munchies.

PS - I have heard form a reliable source that some publications are
published at a rate more than one volume per year.

PPS - If you listen to all of last night's discussion, you will find (I mean
"hear") some rather glaring inconsistencies in some of Doug Wilson's
comments.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, chocolate in one hand, a drink in the other, body thoroughly used
up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO. What a ride!'"

I know I was very surprised last night when I heard Doug Wilson tell the
audience that the Dickison article was from 15 years ago. I really thought
it was more recent.

So, was the article WRITTEN 15 years ago and only published more recently
when they were looking for stuff to fill a few pages?

Also, on the Credenda Agenda website there's only 45 publications listed
between Vol. 3, no. 9 (the one in question) and the current Vol.12, No. 1.
So, Deacon, I don't know if your equation is going to work. That means
there would be around 3 actual magazines printed per year. . . is that
right?

As you can see, I'm pretty confussed by the whole thing. . . and Tom is
going to make us all wait until TOMORROW to give us the answer. . . . Darn.

P.S. Can't forget the new tradition. . . a sports update! Barbaro
underwent surgery and his condition is serious.

Well, I don't know if I have "direct links" to Anselm House, so I thought
I'd give it a try.

According the article on your site, it is from volume 3, number 9. The
current Credenda is volume 18, number 2. So, considering that volumes are
incremented annually, I would guess that it was published roughly 15 (18
minus 3) years ago.

Do I win??? If so, let me know where I can pick up my CD.

Thanks,

Deacon

But then I know when it was written.

How do I know? I noted the issue and date when I downloaded it from the
Credenda

site. I could tell you right here qand now as to when it was

written. But that would be taking the fun out of it.

Check it out for yourselves at:

There is a free MP3 CD of last night's

discussion in it for the guess that come the closes.

Those of you with links to Anselm House

are disqualified from entering. There is an outside chance that you might

actually know the answer to this query in spite of what Doug Wilson said
last

night.

This offer terminates tomorrow (Thursday,

7/13/2006) morning at 10:00 AM when I temporarily exchange the friendly
terrain

of the Palouse for the crowded community of Thousand Oaks, California.

Subject: [Vision2020] The Keely

Emerine Mix / Doug Wilson discussion

I am listening to the fascinating discussion between Keely and Doug on

KRFP, so I'll make this brief. Keely made reference to an article Christ
Church

attorney and former public defender Greg Dickison wrote for Credenda Agenda

called "Your Eye Shall Not Pity." This article came up in reference

to a call from Lois Blackburn asking if Doug still believed in offering

homosexuals the "option" of being stoned to death or exile. Keely

referred to the article, noting that it had been written said in 2003. In

response, Doug said that it was written some 15 years ago. (What Doug didn't
do

was actually answer Lois' question.)

Anyhow, I now have satellite, so I thought I'd do a quick search of the

Credenda Agenda archives. Greg's article appeared in Volume 3.
Unfortunately,

Credenda online seems to have been updated and copyrighted in 2005, or so
says

the note at the bottom of the screen. The magazine now skips from Volume 2
to

Volume 7. Volumes 3, 4, 5, and 6 are missing.

Good thing we have Tom Hansen's website, www.tomandrodna.com
<http://www.tomandrodna.com/> ! Greg's article,

"Your Eye Shall Not Pity," may be read there in its entirety,

unedited and unexpurgated. Perhaps after the show, Doug might pay Tom's
website

a visit and re-read Greg's piece. Keely asked Doug if he was now distancing

himself from Greg's piece and Credenda's published position on
homosexuality.

Doug has yet to give a direct answer.

But I'm waiting. And waiting, and waiting . . .
