  If you want to make the argument that the Senate makes bad decisions because they say the Pledge, you go right ahead Sunil.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_Allegiance the Senate 
recites the pledge before each day's session.  This will explain how they 
have effectively dealt with the issues facing our nation.  Because they say 
say the pledge they have formed deeper bonds and work better.

That's why they are now funding the Iraq war as it goes on, rather than 
creating deficits.  It's why all Americans now have easy access to health 
care, and any future problems for Social Security have been solved.  Of 
course saying the pledge helped the Senate address the problems caused by an 
Executive that held itself above the law.

Think what those Senators could have done with a fight song.
