[Vision2020] pledge

As much as I appreciate the words of our Pledge of Allegiance, I feel that
simply reciting words that were scripted generations and generations ago
does not reflect the genuine heart-felt emotion of the speaker as much as
something that is generated by the speaker him/herself.

Commitment (whether it be to your spouse, your country, or a cause) seems
more solemn and genuine when it is expressed in a person's own words.
