I'm a vet who HATES the pledge.  It makes my skin crawl.  It's creepy.

See above.  Yuck.  I think it sets a terrible example for our kids.  I
want to raise people; not automatons who get misty-eyed at every
government manipulation.  I see that the pledge serves no purpose
whatsoever other than indoctrination.
