Ron Force stated:

"From William Saletan (www.slate.com) on why men make better soldiers:
convince them the enemy are bad guys, and they take pleasure in killing. Not
so for women."

This presents a question: Has William Saletan ever served a day in uniform
alongside female soldiers? I seriously doubt it. Female soldiers (Heck!
Women in general) can be more vindictive than their male counterparts.

How about the times when a woman sees a friend of hers get hurt, either
physically or emotionally, and she is aware of the people that caused that
pain. What is the likelihood that she will welcome that group with anything
but disdain?

Take care, Moscow.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving
safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, chocolate in one hand, a drink in the other, body thoroughly used
up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO. What a ride!'"

More evidence that men are vindictive: Brain scans show that when somebody
they dislike suffers pain, men—but not women—show a) zero activity in
empathy-related parts of the brain and b) a surge of activity in
pleasure-related parts of the brain. In the study, disliked people were
those who had behaved selfishly in a game. Interpretations: 1) Men are born
mean. 2) Men are made mean. 3) Men are deeply ethical and reserve empathy
for those who deserve it. 4) Men do women a service by instinctively
punishing cheaters.
