I have legitimate complaints against Wal-Mart. I shop at Wal-Mart. I
shop at Wal-Mart because I am a hypocrite.

My complaints:

1. Wal-Mart supports the GOP. Costco supports the Dems. I'm a
Democrat. I'd rather support a Costco than a Wal-Mart. Bring a
Costco to Moscow, please.

2. Wal-Mart doesn't pay as well as Costco, and offers less generous
benefits. Allegedly. I don't have the time to dig for corroborating
URL's.

3. Wal-Mart, Costco, etc., lead to a certain homogeneity that I find
distasteful. I like a little adventure/diversity in my shopping. I
may be in the extreme minority in this.

4. Wal-Mart actively censors. I resent bowdlerized content, even if
it is good for me.

Good things about Wal-Mart:

1. They didn't cave-in to the "Happy Holidays" weenies.
Surprisingly. Gratifyingly.

2. Wal-Mart employs the handicapped in large numbers (or so it seems
to this shopper). Bravo!

Those are my reasons for liking/disliking Wal-Mart. You may have
others. That's okay. Those are mine; you can borrow a few if you
want.
