SPRING 2006 CREW MOSCOW: "Making a difference near and far"

Mission Statement: We're a group of Palouse community members dedicated to
making a difference both locally and globally.

Who we are: Crew Moscow members are passionate local individuals who are
excited to make a difference. Local high school students run the projects
and currently make up the majority of the group.

What we do: Positively influencing communities near and far and spreading
goodwill is our chief desire. To do this we have numerous plans including
working in Louisiana over spring break and a local food drive.

Highlights of Our Agenda:

Spring Break - Louisiana:

For spring break this year, Crew Moscow members are going down to the New
Orleans and nearby areas affected by hurricane Katrina. Our goal is to help
out in every way possible by assisting on clean-up through work projects.
Our main project is the St. Bernard Project.

St. Bernard Project:

We have applied to and been accepted to work on the St. Bernard Project in
the St. Bernard Parish, located just south of New Orleans. The parish, one
of the most devastated communities following hurricanes Katrina and Rita,
suffered significant structural damage to 100% of its residential and
commercial units.

The project is joint-run by the St. Bernard Government and the New Orleans
Habitat for Humanity. Through the project, Crew Moscow members will pick up
debris and gut houses in St. Bernard. Our lodging, three meals-a-day,
showers and laundry facilities will be provided by St. Bernard while we're
on the project. We are scheduled to work from March 12-18.

Community Food Drive:

The plethora of food drives during the Christmas season overshadows their
absence during the remainder of the year. Crew Moscow is sponsoring a local
food drive during the weekend of February 10-12. Please use your extra food
to make that extra difference in someone's life.

We Need Your Help:

Transportation and other costs will total thousands of dollars. We also want
to bring down needed supplies and money to the affected communities. The
trip's success will require immense community support. When we leave the
community we want to be stewards of Moscow spirit. Help us make this trip a
success; help us share the Moscow spirit. Please donate to support a better
Moscow, positive stewardship, and a brighter future.

If you are in need of some help around the house or yard, Crew members are
available and happy to work. Please contact Brendan Lind to team up with a
Crew member.
