Hi Tom,
I have no motivation to switch who I pay, but I *do* have an interest in not
paying for a ton of channels I don't want to watch :-) Who will keep -- or
get -- me as a customer will be the first provider to offer
consumer-empowering a la carte programming :-)

Speaking of switches, Saundra -
I have been a subscriber of cable television (Adelphia - Time/Warner) ever
since I moved to Moscow from Kellogg back in 1992.
I have had DirectTV installed as of 3:00 yesterday (12/20/2006) afternoon.
I subscribed to their Basic Plus package for $50.00 per month along with its
185 channels (including the NFL channel and my favorite shoe salesman, Al
Bundy, on Fox).
The NFL Channel will afford me an opportunity Saturday evening to watch the
Oakland Raiders lose to the Kansas City Chiefs (hopefully by less than six
points).
The only question I have is "Why didn't I switch over earlier?"
