[Vision2020] guilty of PWF

Nope, no "special truth" communicated to me. The only "special" thing
communicated to me is your unreasonable -- and unreasoning -- ire. Oddly
enough, I don't feel at all special about it, and since I don't seek your
approval, I'm finished with this thread.

Guilty of PWF? Gee, Keely, you tell me, because you're the one who brought
up the totally irrelevant issue of your gender, not me. I could care less
what your gender is in this context.

Would you please clarify for me how God's Spirit communicates His truth to
you? Is this truth given to you uniquely or is it equally available to all
believers in Jesus Christ? How can others confirm this truth that has been
revealed to you? For that matter, how can *you* confirm this truth that has
been revealed to you? Is there any possibility that a truth revealed to you
(or to anyone) by God's Spirit might contradict what has already been
revealed in the Bible? What is the standard by which one "tests spirits" as
commanded in 1 John chapter 4? What standard is being pointed to by Paul in
Galatians 1:8-9, or in 2 Corinthians 11:4-11, or in 2 Timothy 3:13-17? Why
does Paul praise the Bereans in Acts 17:11? Is it not the case that any
truth revealed to someone by God's Spirit ought to be in harmony with the
Bible and defensible from the Bible? So why is it that when someone asks a
"biblical question" you not only don't reason from the Bible, or about the
Bible, but only give an answer based mainly on secular usage, and then when
I attempt to give a correct answer from the Bible and about the Bible you
accuse me of attacking you, and your gender, and assert that because God's
Spirit has given you insight you don't need to reference the Bible? If we
are not to bring the Bible into the discussion when someone asks a "biblical
question," then when on earth would it be appropriate to do so?

I have too much respect for women to attribute your whole approach and
attitude here to your gender. I deny that your gender has anything to do
with it. A massive chip on one's shoulder and falling short in the area of
allowing one's thinking to be reformed by God's Spirit to more perfectly
conform to God's Word -- those I might buy as possible explanations, but
gender? No.
