Actually, under laws sponsored by Foley himself, using the Internet
for sexual communication with a minor, even if that minor is over the
age of consent, is illegal. This is a stupid law, and I hope to God
that they decline to prosecute, but Foley actually committed an
illegal act by engaging in sexual correspondence with pages over the
age of consent.
