I understand the suspicion. I guess I didn't explain myself well, and got things off very poorly.

All I was attempting to say with my initial post was that felt the Kirker businesses have leant a bit of class to downtown Moscow that was missing 10 years ago or so. I think that the existance of the Kirk has helped rally those who are not sympathetic to them. And I think it helped create opportunities for new, non Kirk businesses.

I think that Moscow often gets very tunnel-visioned. I'm glad to see that Moscow's downtown is filling up with nice stores. I'm not some Nazi sympathizer saying Hitler's ok 'cause the trains run on time, but I really think a nice shop is a nice shop no matter who owns it. And if it provokes a non-Kirker to open ANOTHER nice shop nearby, even better.

Would we rather have some nice Kirker shops downtown that we'll never shop in, or a Super Wal-Mart we'll never shop in?

Sorry, Penny, but the V can be rough! Some of us get suspicious about non-Kirk defenders of the Kirk who won't reveal their real names.

I worry that you might feel threatened by some Kirk critics. There are lots of false accusations leveled toward us. Let me buy you a cup of coffee or a beer at the One World and show you that I, at least, am not such a bad guy.

Ok folks - I've been accused of slandering The Beach, Palouse Properties, Karl Johnson, Dan Schoenburg, people who live in trailers, etc.

I'm not evil, and I'm not a Kirker. I was just trying to join in on what I have observed seems to be the predominent activity here. I see anti-NSA people bashing Kirkers, I see Kirkers bashing J Ford, I see Donovan Arnold bashing people, I see everyone else bashing Donovan Arnold, and I have people now bashing me for being someone I'm not.

Yay Moscow! Yay 20/20!
