"Actually, we have already met, Jackie. And while I have absolutely no
desire

to "know you" any better then I do now, I do think that you reveal quite a

bit about yourself when you carry on endlessly about your unrequited

obsessions ala CC, its pastor and members, donnae-cha know? gc"

I would tend to agree; although in contrast with Gary, I would be delighted
to get to know Jackie better. Jackie, I wonder if it might be good to
generally limit the topic to Christ Church's leader and representative
Douglas Wilson, without bringing in those more innocent personalities; those
in the grip of Wilson's leadership to Heaven via a heavenly city here within
Moscow need better insight into the social dynamic they are a part of, not
more harassment. I have heard many good things about Mike Hoffman and I can
sympathize with how one could get sucked into a church community like Christ
Church; I doubt Hoffman will see the light by getting exposure of this sort
- he would more likely be thrilled to be found in that elect persecuted few.
Any hard fact about his local business workings could prove a helpful topic
(see Bill London's question for clarification), but a private businessman
deserves the requisite level of privacy. As for another example, although it
seemed to me Austin was a fence sitter, he got highly offended by his minor
book selling business getting investigated by an "intolerista." Also,
keeping to no more than three posts a day might also help mitigate this kind
of criticism from Gary and others. I wonder if having your own blog where
folks can visit on their own initiative might be a possible alternative too,
at least to cut down on the volume. Just some thoughts; I'm not trying to
be preachy, although it might come across that way - I'm no one to talk
here! I really think that these kinds of moves might better serve the
developing exposure of the more cultish activities of Wilson. After all,
almost every larger community has got their Village; there is likely a
sociological pseudo-cult near you; help spread the word. As for me and my
family, it has been very freeing to just go on with life, keeping those
friends I can and just making others, and that is the typical
recommendation, as far as I can tell, for anyone who has emotional tears in
their soul from spiritual abuse.

Thanks

Michael Metzler
