Thank you for your human and rational approach to the act of communication.
However, I think it would be good if you just confirm that J Ford's claims
are false, since it seems you apparently know. Also, if you can confirm
whether or not you are connected to Christ Church in any way, I think this
would be very helpful, given comments such as "able to find something in my
history that might not prove to be near as clean as the people who attend
C.C. and I've seen what's been done to them." This will come as a surprising
comment if you are not connected to Christ Church in any way.  I must
confess as well that your unwillingness to use your real name is a bit
troubling. 

 

>From what I have heard about Hoffman, he seems a good guy, albeit a guy with
a car that keeps my creepy antennas up. This town could use more men like
Hoffman from what I can tell, that is, more men like Hoffman who are not
loyal to Douglas Wilson; even good men, when placed in more "tight,"
hierarchical, and "heroic" sociological situations, can do very bad things,
as both progressive press of Christ Church and plenty of psychological
research has demonstrated.  J Ford is often not representative of the
typical kinds of concern and criticism you will find locally, but even here,
I doubt the concern was over Mike Hoffman qua Mike Hoffman; it is clearly
more a matter of Hoffman's condoning of, affiliation with, and enabling of a
local man who has progressively earned the scorn and fear from many local
people over the last 20 plus years.  

 

I would be happy to get your thoughts about this, but I apologize, I will
not be checking back here until next week some time.

  I have observed this site for some time now, yet have never chosen to
speak out. I'm choosing to keep my name anonymous as I'm sure someone would
be able to find something in my history that might not proove to be near as
clean as the people who attend C.C. and I've seen what's been done to them.

   

  I've chosen to speak up on the subject of Mr. Hoffman because I have
worked with him in the business arena here in town, and currently am as
well. I couldn't be more impressed. His past history as well as his current
endeavors have shown to be strong and successful. I don't know where you're
getting your information, but I can assure you this is one business man you
should just be thankful is in town. There are plenty others in town that
might entertain your curiosity a bit more. 

   

  I'm concerned that making quick assumptions on misguided information could
backfire on you, or in the least show that you might not really know what's
going on. 

   

  And you have to admit, the limo has made the town chuckle.
