[Vision2020] Mountain View and D

Just what do you think happens now? The traffic on "D" at Mt. View backs up
to 11 cars deep (or more) and the children/pedestrians can wait up to 15
minutes just to cross. A crossing guard there makes sense until you're the
one dodging the fools that think "You cannae possibly be asking ME to stop"
and breezes right through.
There is no consequence (i.e. ticket) for them during non-school times to be
pushing through that intersection. Put a Stop sign or light there, and the
cops have something to work with.
"D" at Hayes has a fair amount of traffic during the school year and a
slightly lesser one during the summer/off times. But the traffic there
moves rather well for both walkers and drivers. The only time I have seen
drivers get frustrated is when a bike rider runs through the stop with nary
a look to see if a car is moving or a walker is in the walkway. It happens
every day.
