Greetings Visionaires -

Since Auntie and Bro "C" first introduced the show on January 23, 2005, no
show (as awesome as many of them were) was as exemplary of, or epitomized,
the "informative and entertaining" foundation of the "Auntie Establishment
and Brother Carl Show" as the one broadcast today. Immediately upon going
"on air", Auntie introduced this week's guest Democratic gubernatorial
candidate Jerry Brady and for the next 46 minutes questions were asked and
answered concerning: property tax, sales tax, elimination of grocery tax,
"closed door" legislation, the financial burden brought on by the
"University Place" fiasco, alternative fuels, economic sustainability,
minimum wage, the state highway system (particularly I-95), and HJR 2 (Idaho
legislation to amend the state constitution disallowing same-sex marriages).
In addition to this barn-burning interview, Auntie and Bro "C" discussed
Saturday's bench dedications at Friendship Square, and the questionable
design accepted for the "Idaho" quarter, among many other topics.

Again, a special "Thank You" to Auntie for her continued voiced recognition
of each casualty suffered by those soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines
during combat operations in Iraq, and a special note of appreciation to Bro
"C" for his on-air reading of "Bury Me With Soldiers"

This week I have two song dedications to offer.

The first dedication goes out to Ralph Saindaine, a homeless, caring soul
whose recent memorable experience with Spokane Fire Marshal Lisa Jones
restores my faith in true Christianity. The accounting of this experience
was published in last Friday's Spokesman Review and posted on Vision 2020:

Ralph Saindaine's selfless, compassionate view on life serves to remind each
of us that sometimes . . .

"Life Ain't Always Beautiful" . . . but it's a beautiful ride.

"The struggles make me stronger
And the changes make me wise
And happiness has it's own way of taking it's sweet time
No, life ain't always beautiful
But I know I'll be fine
Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride."

The second dedication is in recognition of an event that is becoming a local
annual goings-on. Last year, highlighted by entertainment that can only be
described as Gong Show space filler and "patrolled" by an insecure security
force, the "management" of this festivity touted it as a great success.
This year that same "management" (consisting of, but not limited to, Douglas
"His Whineyness" Wilson and Gabe "Barney Fife" Rench) is promising a more
memorable Credenda Agenda . . .

"Freakers' Ball"

"So pass that roach and pour the wine --
I'll kiss yours and you'll kiss mine.
I'm gonna boogie til I go blind --
Freakin' at the Freakers Ball.."
