I haven't condemed anyone. Not even Joan. My total argument has been based
on the fact I disagree with her interpretation of 1st Samuel and believe she
intrepets it the way she does to justify her own guilt over her situation.

I am not judging her. I am only stating my opinion that she is wrong about
1st Samuel having anything to do with homosexuality to begin with. She came
back at me with a vengence, trying to impress me with her heritage and her
academic accomplishments, which I find questionable, not to mention
irrelevent. She questioned my knowledge of the Bible and I told her I had
spent time reading these passages in several different versions and had
sought the wisdom of my pastor before commenting. She then accused me of
thinking I was an expert on the Bible. Don't forget, I am the one who
sought other insight first. I don't claim to be an expert but I don't think
one has to be to see the error of Joan's intrepretation in this instance.

Why do you feel you have to come to her defense to begin with? If she is
confident enough in her claim she should be able to defend it herself
without your help.

This is really a moot issue as far as I am concerned. I made my point that
I think her translation is incorrect and she is sticking to her version. I
don't care about the rest of her problems... Obviously, it bothers her, and
you, much more than me.

Dick
