No, I am saying that once they were given the permission they spent the
money and did the work upgrading a rundown building. And following that it
would be bad on the cities part to now make them depart the repaired
building. I would think that would leave the city open to more problems. I
read in the DN's today that lawsuits are being filed now and it would only
get worse I would think.

Hi Pat,

Surely you're not implying that the expenditure of enough time & money are
just, fair, or equitable reasons for getting away with breaking laws or for
rewriting laws to accommodate those who don't want to follow the laws, are
you?  I can think of quite a few situations where many of us would be very
unhappy with the outcomes of such an approach  :-)

Or, are you advocating such an approach only for schools & educational
institutions?

By 'Leadership' do you mean people who would do what you want and ignore
others?? Seems to me they are leading...just not doing it exactly like you
want them to.
I do have a question. If NSA has permission to be in the old GTE building,
they have remodeled it, been in it for some time and now comes a question
from some about the legality of that. But, wouldn't this or any soon to be
council have to 'grandfather' in NSA. After all this time and money spent on
the building or any other school building shouldn't they just let them all
stay and start from here to change it?
