[Vision2020] Fwd: Moscow Medical

Dear Dr. Brown,
 
My concern, perhaps badly expressed in my Vision 2020 post, centered on the  
notion that disease and death are the consequence of Adam's sin rather than  
identifying them as natural, explainable biological processes.  Clearly  your 
understanding of sovereignty (divine) and dominion (human) inform your  
professional and private life in ways beyond my comprehension.
   
I agree  that Christians (and, incidentally, non-Christians as  well) should  
stand publicly against "hunger, war, pestilence,  bigotry. "  To the litany 
of evils you describe, I would add  ignorance, patriarchal oppression, 
religious fanaticism, and moral  cowardice.    Are you willing to join with me in a 
public  statement condemning those philosophies and behaviors as  well?

PS  As a member of St. Mary's, you might urge your colleague, NSA  board 
member, Dr. Grauke, to consider the community enhancing model for ironing  out 
school/neighborhood issues that characterized recent negotiations among  the St. 
Mary's school board, the city, and the neighbors adjacent  to the school.  No, 
now that I think about it, that conversation would not  be very productive.  
St. Mary's board members demonstrated a  respectful attitude toward the law 
and their neighbors - which is  markedly different from the rhetoric and 
behavior seeping  out of NSA.
