Joan forgot one thing on the Farris to do list:
 
Hope that NSA (if it is still functioning by the time Doug's kids get ready  
for college) establishes some kind of  program that will educate young men  
for a career beyond pretending to be the 4th son of an 18th century, very  
minor, English squire.  Sadly, it will remain primarily a  Reformed marriage market 
for young women.
