[Vision2020] Third Street Jam (was LMT Article)

A few months ago I almost did the same and the car in front of me I am sure
really thought he was going to get them. They are not using the brains they
supposedly brought to college with them. I didn't think it was legal to put
up lights or crosswalks across what is actually a state highway. But, I have
been known to be wrong on one or two occasions. I am sure that it won't do
any good to build bridges across the highway because the WSU students don't
use them either. Last winter on a cold and rainy night I almost nailed a
student drunk and yelling at me. What was it that was in the paper recently?
How rude we are?? Some of these students have it down to an art.

I about decreased the UI enrollment by two on Tuesday morning. On a wide
street like Highway 8, the crossing signs aren't very visible, and the
crossing wasn't placed at an obvious intersection. The signs need flashing
lights at the very least to pick them out from all the visual clutter along
the street. It'll be even worse at night.
I think the speed limit will eventually have to be decreased to 25 on that
stretch.

"I only have two traffic concerns, children crossing
Mt. View, and college students crossing the
Moscow-Pullman Highway."
Hopefully, if things work out right, you'll soon only have one concern.
Pedestrian crossings are currently being installed/painted on Highway 8
along the Miracle Mile.
Whether they will be used or not is another question . . .
