[Vision2020] Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the Bible

As a Catholic, I know of few Catholics that have ever
taken a 100% literal interpretation of the Bible. In
fact, in most my religious classes I have taken from
the church while growing up, the teachers took the
stance that much of the Bible was a figurative and
spiritual interpretation of the truth. 

In addition, Catholics, for the most part, are very
ignorant of most the Bible. They are told what to
think about portions of the Bible by their priest who
has spent at least 6 years studying it professionally
before being ordained a priest.
