[Vision2020] Bird Flu

Just throwing this out for general conversation/information:

Does anyone know: If a person were to eat a bird that tests positive for the 
flu, will it pass to the human?  They are slaughtering a bunch of birds 
overseas,but they are not saying they are "destroying" them and I was 
wondering if they are in fact entering the food market chain, could it pose 
a health issue.
