Pat,
To see the concerns of the University of Idaho
Arboretum and Botanical Garden Associates, go to

http://www.uidaho.edu/arboretum/

Scroll down a bit and you'll see the link to their
letter to Mayor Comstock and the Council on the right
hand side of the page.
It's at
http://www.uidaho.edu/arboretum/PlayfieldArbResp.pdf

As you will notice, the Arboretum Associates are not
opposed to a community park with ballfields on the
land. Their concerns center on the proposal for the
complex being used as a sort of commercial attraction
for large tournaments every weekend.

For other concerns about the proposal, go to

savethearboretum.org

One of the major problems with the current proposal is
the fact that it would require between 5.5 and 6
MILLION gallons of water at a time when the city has
declared our water situation to be a near emergency.

Best,
   TL
