Here are a few possible models for people to look at on the net and think 
about.

The site below is from an artist who specializes in specialty tile, unique 
works that are quite stunning.

If we can get more ceramic artists here, then Pomona California’s idea of 
having a museum to feature works could be an excellent idea.

L and W Stone is a maker of tile, flag stone, and other decorative rock 
products.  They started their business in Clayton Idaho as four unemployed 
miners and it has grown to sales of tens of millions of dollars a year.

This is an example of a company that hosts wood carvers and gets their 
products to market.  They have some very amazing art and wonderful 
craftsmanship.

All of these have people who make living wages from craftsmanship.  Each is 
adding high value to a local product.  Both the Arts and high value crafts 
should have a place in our future here on the Palouse.
