[Vision2020] Question Concerning City Council

Good question, Tom. As mayor, Marshall Comstock appointed Jon Kimberling
to serve in Jack Hill's place until the subsequent election, after
illness prevented Jack from being able to serve out the remainder of his
term. According to the Municipal Code, Title 2, Sec. 2-12, "Council
persons elected at each general City election shall be installed at the
first meeting in January following such election." We can look forward
to having Aaron sworn in with other newly-elected officials in January.

Thank you for asking.

City Council Member & Mayor-Elect

Subject: [Vision2020] Question Concerning City Council

Question: Since Aaron Ament was elected to replace a vacant spot on our
city council, shouldn't he be seated immediately (versus January)?

Hmmmm.

Thoughts?
