I wrote:
"Voting for or against a city council member solely
based on their stated opinion of one, two, or even
three hot button issues at this moment is an
irresponsible use of your voting power."
Hansen's response:
"You might be on to something, Arnold. Why let an
election be denigrated by allowing citizens to apply
their vote in accordance with their convictions on
issues that impact our community? Perhaps we should
apply our vote on the candidates' outcome from Dan
Carscallen's suggested face readings."
Perhaps Hansen missed the word "SOLELY To vote for
people just on the hot button issues is a mistake, you
need to consider other factors too because the
candidate might just be saying things to get elected
or you may disagree with the candidate on more issues
that come up later that are even more important. Also,
many times the hot button issues may not even come up
for a vote during the two to four years the candidate
is in office and reaping havoc against all your other
concerns. Take the candidate holistically is what I am
saying.
Hansen has this towing behind his name:
"Vote on November 8ththecause you care . . .
For our kids
For our neighborhoods
For our town
VOTE AARON AMAMENTOR CITY COUNCIL"
Gee, that separates Aaron from his opponent? Like
Steed does not care for our kids, neighborhoods and
town? I think that is a low blow--As is your attacks
on many other candidates that have the courage to put
their name, time, and reputations on the line. I can
tell you, it is nerve racking being judged like that,
they feel really exposed.
