Mr. Kimmel stated:
"Downtown land uses have changed all over the country and we'll never see a
return to a large retail segment in these old downtown boxes."
Mr. Kimmel - It is my interpretation of your statement that you desire to "
. . . return to a large retail segment . . . " within the central business
district. If so, I am behind you 100%.
I would further stipulate that all entities within the central business
district be required to pay property tax for the privilege of maintaining an
address within the CBD, thus lightening the burden of the remaining county
tax payers.
Question: Is it merely coincidental that Mr. Kimmel published this e-mail
within 48 hours of:

Or is this a question that each of us should consider in November 2006 when
Mr. Kimmel's county seat is up for re-election?

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will
stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving
path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so
far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb.
