"...when did NSA become accredited and therefore an "educational
institution" validating your claim that NSA is in violation of the law?"
"...NSA does fit the definition of a commercial/trade school which IS
expressly PERMITTED in the downtown commercial zone."
The point here is that NSA is the one that claims it is a COLLEGE - not a
vocational or " a "Trade/commercial school". No where in any of NSA's
literture or speakers words or its regular supporters is it going to be
found that NSA claims or would WANT to claim that it is a trade/commercial
school. They have, in fact, gone to great length to make sure everyone
knows they consider themselves a COLLEGE!
NSA has an active accreditation application in with TRACS to become an
accredited college. They are pursuing this and will have its accreditation
in the near future. This is not to satisfy anything the state or other
government body requires - it is what THEIR organization requires so they
can, for one thing, receive support from that organization.
Private schools do NOT have to follow state certification or accreditation
rules/regs if they are not receiving any public monies. NSA and Logos and
Atlas do not and will/would not accept any government monies. Therefore, as
long as they are acceptable by THEIR accreditation organization, (sorry, it
does not have to be accepted by the State of Idaho) they can call themselves
whatever they want. NSA is calling itself a college. They have made claims
to the city and everyone else they are a college.
They do accept private donations, etc.; however, points made elsewhere on
this list are in reference to private schools who are ALSO receiving public
funds. There are private schools in Moscow that do accept public monies and
they do follow the state certification and accreditation rules and other
various rules and regulations, including where they can be and are located.
