[Vision2020] assessors and appraisers (was schizophrenic)

Carscallen,

Why don't you go over to the County Assessor's office
and ask them kindly if they will go over to somebody's
private home between 3rd and 5th, inspect it
throughly, and then give us a price quote for "fair
market value" as you are suggesting?

I can imagine their reaction would be the same as if
someone came over to your office and said, "Hey you
guys pave roads, and serve the public, can you fix the
crack in my driveway this Monday, oh, say around noon
when my car is gone? You guys have people certified to
that right?"

County assessors do not do requests. They provide
information on the taxed assessed value of property in
the county. They cannot even provide lists. Each
property is evaluated every five years. They are not
going to go over to the homes on 3rd and 5th, inspect
them, and then give the public a fair market value for
it. They will tell you to go hire a real estate agent.

Take Care,

Donovan J Arnold
