Visionaires -
This is NOT a simple matter of singling out Douglas Wilson. He singled
himself out long ago.
This is not just a bunch of people here in Moscow, Idaho that have too much
time on our hands. It reaches much, much further than that.
As reflected in an audio file of Carl Mack (President, Seattle Branch of the
NAACP) expressing his opinion of the pamphlet "Southern Slavery As It Was"
and its authors Doug Wilson and Steven Wilkins (speakers at the Trinity
Fest). (Requires RealAudio or Windows Media Player)

As reflected in an article written by Mark Potok of the Southern Povery Law
Center stating that "A religious empire based in Idaho is part of the
far-right theological movement fueling neo-Confederate groups" headed by
Douglas Wilson.

As reflected in a North Carolina newspaper condemning a local school's
defense of "Southern Slavery As It Was" and the school's news release
concerning this newspaper article.

These are mere samples of information that has been accumulated from a
multitude of resources. The list goes on and on. If you would like to
examine these items, you may freely do so at:

As I said before, we did not single Wilson out. He singled himself out long
ago.
When he first made threats to church members who dared to relate church
activities to people outside the church.
http://www.tomandrodna.com/notonthepalouse/Taming_the_Tongue.htm
When it was discovered that Douglas Wilson is a member of the Southern
Heritage Society, an active Neo-Confederate organization.

When it was found that Doug Wilson virtually idolizes and supports R. L.
Dabney's concepts concerning:
Racism:

Public Schools:

Women's Rights (or lack thereof):

So, to put the record straight - This is not a conspiracy orchestrated by
the intolerant. It is not geographically restricted by Moscow's city
limits. It is an ongoing community effort supported by a wide range of
caring local citizens, many of whom remember what Moscow was like before and
what they hope it to be become after.
Take care, Moscow.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are
dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all
exist very nicely in the same box.

I will still say that 'until the day Wilson or/and any member of his group
pick up gun and try to force all of us into their group' they have the
fought for freedom to do just as they are. If you eliminate this group are
you next going after republicans? Or would you like to eliminate all those
who shop at Wal-Mart? Some where I remember hearing a poem? that went
something like "They came for the Jews but I didn't say anything because I
wasn't Jewish. Then they came for the mentally ill but I didn't say anything
because I wasn't ill. Then they came for me and there was no one to speak
up." This isn't really right but it is close enough for you to get the
point.
The UI can rent space to anyone...and I do mean anyone. If the Vagina
Monologues can be on campus so can Wilson!
