Nancy,
I hope you received my email. Unfortuately, v2020 has not. A while ago
I
was cut off from v2020 and as yet, I have been unable to contact anyone
that
can help me get reinstated.
thanks,

Janesta,

Sorry about the length of time it has taken to reply to your response
and I
hope I am not being redundant. I used to have a subscription to V2020
but I
was "bounced" for some reason and have been unable to get reinstated
because
the home page is down and no one at first step seems to know anything
about
v2020.

Regarding books: Unfortunately we do not accept books at Moscow
Recycling.
If you wished to rip the pages out of a book(s) you could place the
paper
from the book in with the mixed waste paper. WSU used to take books but
I
believe that they have discontinued the practice. Don't forget that
there
are some used book stores that may be interested in your books or Good
Will.
Another way to move books along is at yard sales. There are many people
who
go to yard sales to look specifically for books.

I am hoping that in the future we will be able to accept books at Moscow
Recycling. The main problem is that they need to be stored separately
from
our other commodities and I am pretty much out of room to take on new
commodities unless they can easily fit in with the ones we already take.
I
am hoping that sometime in the future we will build a storage facility
that
will enable us to accept several other recyclable items that we are
presently unable to accept.

I hope that helped, and let me know if their are any other questions I
may
answer for you.

Thanks,

Andy- Things may have changed, but as I recall, Moscow Recycling didn't
used to take books, or if you did, they had to be glued instead of bound
and have the covers torn off or something. If you have special
requirements, will you consider writing Vision 2020 with instructions?
Thanks.

I was at the library book sale late this afternoon. As
they were taking all the books away, I asked where
they were going, and was told the recycling
center........

I realize there were TONS of books left over, as an
avid reader it really made me sad to think of a book
being thrown away! Isn't there any way to send them
to some people who need books?

Janesta
