Ms. Swanson,

Why do you deny that the Chairman of the Board of Director at Gritman was
also in charge of the UI student health insurance program (SHIP)? Why deny
that fact, when anyone with any curiosity in knowing the truth can look that
up?

Why do you deny that the changes in UI policy did not make doctors at UI
money because programs at the Student Health Center were outsourced to them?
This is fact, and anyone can look it up.

Do you think that requiring students to have $500,000 in catastrophic
insurance does not benefit Gritman?

"Donovan, please stop blaming Gritman for a health care crisis that affects
>millions in this country. Our health care system is a much bigger crisis
>than Social Security. "

Red herring! My complaint is not with the rising cost of medical care. I
know you and the board do what you can to fight that problem, and for the
most part do a good job of that. Nor is my problem with the quality of
service at Gritman, or the doctors nurses, volunteers, or any other worker.
My complaint is with the board and the fact that they have not tried
correcting that injustice toward the students their director and members
caused. You will not even admit publicly that the same person was in charge
of UI Student Health Insurance Programs and policy as was chairman of the
Board of Directors just before you.

As long as the students are whining about their medical care being taken
away to pay premiums on a $500,000 insurance policy to protect Gritman, when
they are also paying into the indigent fund that protects them anyway, I am
going to raise this issue.

Take Care,

Donovan J Arnold
