It is really quite simple, Arnold (not to be confused with the four-legged
co-star of "Green Acres", unless you want to):

I will address the NSA issue (since that is what your subject line is
addressing).

New Saint Andrews College is currently property tax-exempt, yet they are
clearly a "for profit" business. Is this a contradiction according to Latah
County? You bet it is. However, the high command of NSA does not see it
that way. They feel that they should be exempt from property taxes as they
rake in the revenues. The bottom line is: You can't have it both ways.
Rose Huskey and Saundra Lund are attempting to return New Saint Andrews
College to the tax-paying rolls of Latah County. SEPARATE AND DISTINCT from
Rose Huskey and Saundra Lund are three former members of Christ Church
(Hansen, Bauer, and Nolan) who, through their attorney, have filed a
complaint against NSA claiming that NSA is in clear violation of Moscow
zoning laws by being an education-oriented activity operating within the
business district.

It truly is that simple, Arnold.

One cure would be for the high command of New Saint Andrews College to
register itself as a "for profit business" and start paying property taxes.
That would satisfy the equation on both sides.

Take care, Moscow.

"Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will
stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving
path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so
far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb."
